This 125-foot (31m) Arizona State Capitol Spire was realized in 2002 as an ornament for a North Scottsdale shopping center. Here the spire is illuminated: Fluorescent lights inside the spire emanate a blue glow through the translucent acrylic panels. Palo verde trees surround the spire.
