The Úpské rašeliniště Nature Reserve is located in the Giant Mountains between Luční bouda, Studniční hora and Border Ridge. It has an area of 72,8 hectares and is thus the largest peat bog in the Krkonoše Mountains. Its power reaches up to 1.20 meters. As a classical peat bog there are also peat ponds and so called bullets. From the flora we can find here sparse vegetation, shrubs, mulberry mulberry or velvety tree. Water from the peat bog is taken to Úppa, to a lesser extent to the White Elbe. Entry into the area is not allowed, however, there is a blue-marked trail from Sněžka to Luční bouda.
