Looking upwards at a famous U of M landmark - part of law library can be seen fractured while looking through slanted basement windows of other part. Many movies have been filmed here. The addition of the Allan F. and Alene Smith Law Library opened in 1981, and was built below ground. This preserved the visual integrity of the Law Quadrangle, built in the English Gothic Style between 1924 and 1933.
