Modern Ukraine celebrates Independence Day on August 24, the day their Declaration of Independence was declared from The Soviet Union in 1991. For giving up their nuclear weapons, the United States had agreed to support them, both economically and militarily, for which their country and people have always expressed thanks, as seen at this celebration, with displays of American flags also. Also evident were plenty of sunflowers, symbol of Ukraine, and her blue and gold flag. Held in the Golden Gate Park Bandshell, properly called the Spreckels Temple of Music, the parks own band was also there, to accompany the singers and dancers. A sign on display. As most enjoyed 24 August 2025.
