The most romantic structure of the Tsaritsyn Park. It is a dilapidated medieval tower with adjacent sections of brick and white stone walls. The tower was built according to the project of the architect Ivan Yegotov in 1804. Its appearance researchers associate with the fashion for artificial ruins in the late XVIII – early XIX century. Initially, the tower is crowned by the ruins of a light roofed Belvedere with four columns. A stone staircase rises along the crest of the North wall. The base is decorated with colored moss. After the death of Catherine II, Tsaritsyno became a popular place for urban leisure.
