| The manacá-da-serra is a semi-deciduous tree native to the Atlantic Forest, which quickly became popular in landscaping due to its spectacular flowering. Its size is low to medium, reaching 6 to 12 m in height and about 25 cm in trunk diameter. The leaves are lanceolate, hairy, dark green and with parallel longitudinal veins. The flowers are solitary and are large, showy and durable. They bloom with white color and gradually become violet, passing through pink. This particularity causes flowers of three colors to be observed on the same plant. |
