Tharros is an archaeological site in the province of Oristano, located in the municipality of Cabras, in Sardinia. The city is located in the southern part of the Sinis peninsula, which ends in the mountainous protrusion of Capo San Marco. The area is currently an open-air museum and excavations are ongoing, bringing to light more information about the past of this city. What can be seen dates back mainly to the period of Roman domination or early Christianity. Among the most interesting structures are the tophet, the baths, the foundations of the temple and a part of the area with houses and artisan workshops.
