This is Padborg, the border railway station between Denmark an Germany. Electric trains face a system change between 25.000Volts 50C/s to 15.000 Volts 16,7 C/s. Thus the electric locomotives must lower the power collector while they are under the other system, here is an electric locomotive being taken back to its own system with a yellow diesel switcher located here for just that one purpose. Keeping the power collector raised while the electric locomotive is under the foreign power system would cause massive damages to the locomotive.
