Stourhead is situated at the source of the river Stour, in Wiltshire County, Britain. The estate includes Palladian Mansion, gardens, grotto, lake, cascade, Stourton village and farmland. Begun in 1741 by Henry Hoare . Architect of the main design -Colin Campbell. Garden full of neo-classical Greek and Roman temples and monuments. It is part-owned by the National Trust now. |
