It is carved in irregular granite, 4.54 m high, and remains in its original location, in a section of an interior gallery of the Old Temple of Chavín, called the “Galería del Lanzón”.“Lanzón” because it has the shape of a gigantic projectile point, whose ends are solidly embedded in the floor and ceiling of the gallery.arqueological site,culture
