| Batumi, Georgia - May 17, 2018: Memed Abashidze January 18, 1873 ââ¬â 1937 was a Georgian politician, writer and public benefactor. A leader of Muslim Georgian community of Adjarians, he was one of the architects of the Adjara region`s autonomy within Georgia. He became a victim of Joseph Stalinââ¬â¢s Great Purge in the late 1930s. |
