| In ancient Dubrovnik steps and stairs are everywhere. Some years ago, a team counted them: there are 4,343 steps in the Old Town and the city wall has 1,080. As the city is built on a hill, this is not a surprise. The steps and stairs are part of Dubrovnikââ¬â¢s charm and we love them. Dubrovnik is also a beautiful UNESCO World Heritage city, so all buildings are restored according to specific regulations.
