In the centre of the city of Logroño between the old quarter and the modern suburb you can find the Paseo del PrÃÂncipe de Vergara. It is well known as the Paseo del Espolón because of its similarity to the famous walk in Burgos. It has the origin from the 19th century, with the impressive walk with pollarded plane trees around its perimeter and large statue dedicated to General Espartero, who lived in this city from his return from his London exile until his death in 1879, the outstanding features.
