| The Singer House is one of the most recognizable buildings on Nevsky Prospekt. It was erected in 1904 by the project of the architect Pavel Suzor. In addition to the board of the Singer company, in different years there were sewing workshops, the American consulate, publishing houses and one of the largest bookstores in Europe - the St. Petersburg House of Books.
