Monarch butterfly season seems to be in full swing close to my house. This pretty girl is sitting on top of a purple coneflower working her magic and helping to pollinate the field. Her little legs in this picture are digging through the flower trying to collect the food she gets. Her antennas pointing down and eyes carefully watching. I really think it's beautiful how the white dots speckle their body. I also love the orange and black coloration in their wings. This picture was taken in the East Coventry nature preserve outside of Pottstown in Pennsylvania.
