The Padre Pio Pilgrimage Church is a church in the Italian town San Giovanni Rotondo owned by the Ordine dei Frati Minori Cappuccini di Foggia and built on the tomb of and in devotion to Saint Pio of Pietrelcina. The Shrine of Padre Pio is the second-most visited Catholic shrine in the world. Padre Pio was a Capuchin friar, priest and mystic known for his devotion to God, care for the sick, and supernatural gifts. He died in 1968 and was declared a saint in 2002.
