| Beaches with waves suitable for surfers are mostly found in the southern part of Indonesia, especially on the south-west coast of Sumatra, the south coast of Java, Bali, Nusa Tenggara. In the northern part of Indonesia, there are only a few areas for surfing, such as Morotai and Natuna. Beaches with high waves and a challenge for surfers include Saroake Beach, Mentawai, Tanjung Sepi in Sumatra, Pelengkung in Java, Nihiwatu and Rote Nusa Tenggara. For fun surfing, the most favorite locations are Kuta and Canggu Beach in Bali and Selong Belanak in Lombok. |
