Sanctuary of Our Lady of the Miracles - Madonna dei miracoli - northern Italy, is one of the most important monuments of the Lombard Renaissance, it preserves splendid frescoes by Gaudenzio Ferrari and by Bernardino Luini. The complex was built in three times: the Renaissance part from 1498 to 1516 including the apse, the presbytery, the anti-presbytery, the dome with the tiburium and the bell tower; in 1556, three spans were extended over three naves with the addition of the sacristy; finally from 1570 to the beginning of the 1600, two more spans were added and the façade was erected
