The Royal Palace of La Granja de San Ildefonso is one of the three residences of the Spanish royal family; It is located in Segovia, recognized as a national treasure and open to the public. The palace is 18 km from Segovia and 80 km from Madrid. Its name La Granja the palace received as a legacy from the monastic economy, belonging to one of the Segovian monasteries.nThe construction of the palace complex began in the beginning of the XVIII century. by the order of Philip V, who was enamored during the hunt by the beauty of those places. It was planned to build a small baroque building with a spacious garden. However, Philip V expanded the construction, resulting in a `small Versailles`
