This is an early Spring picture of two wild Ringed-billed gulls perched on a branch on a pond at the Lincoln Park Zoo located in Chicago, Illinois in Cook County. The Ring-billed Gull is a medium sized gull which is the most common and widespread gull in North America. They are the most sociable with humans off all gulls, found on beaches, parking lots and almost anywhere human gather. They feature a yellow bill with a dark ring, they have yellow eyes, yellow webbed feet, and their backs and wings are silver gray in color. This picture was taken on March 28, 2018. |
