The bust was acquired by the Oberpfrankenstiftung Bayreuth and provided to the Richard Wagner Museum Bayreuth as a permanent loan. Bayreuth is a town in upper Franconia, northern Bavaria, Germany, on the Red Main river in a valley between the Franconian Jura and the Fichtelgebirge Mountains. Bayreuth is famous because of the performances of operas by the 19th century German composer Richard Wagner.
