Lehmen is a village in lower Mosel valley. The area is also called Untermosel and Tereasenmosel, in this area you can see why, with all the terraced vineyards on the hills. Some of the steep vineyards have been abandoned since the cost of labor is too high for producing wine there. Still the wine from these Steillagen is pretty popular. In autumn the colors of vine and other plants change at different times according to the height level.
