Prince Albert of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha Francis Albert Augustus Charles Emmanuel; 26 August 1819 – 14 December 1861 was the consort of Queen Victoria from their marriage on 10 February 1840 until his death in 1861. At the age of twenty, he married his first cousin Victoria; they had nine children. Victoria was Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland from 20 June 1837 until her death in 1901. Known as the Victorian era, her reign of 63 years and seven months was longer than any previous British monarch.
