PRODUCTION ready-mixed concrete in denmark.In 1926, a civil engineer Kristian Hindhede the idea that it might be far more efficient to produce concrete centrally on a stationary mixing plants and drive it to the construction site, rather than stand and hand mix it. Therefore started Hinde Hede company KH Concrete and established a mixing plant in Kalkbrænderihavnen in Copenhagen. No one had until then anywhere in the world tried to plant basis, to produce and deliver ready-mixed concrete. One of the biggest challenges for Hindhede was the transport of the concrete from the factory to the site. During a visit to the United States had Hindhede seen a mixer on wheels, and it gave him the idea to build a mixer truck which could supply liquid concrete to the construction sites. Hindhede quickly gained success and already in 1927 KH Concrete bought by the FLSmidth Group. This ensured an economic support for Hindhedes many innovative ideas. KH Concrete's factories and mixer trucks formed school all over the world, and for several years was KH Concrete exporter of know-how in the area. KH Concrete developed further over the years and became one of the leading concrete suppliers in the Danish market.
