| Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. This monument recalls the sacrifice of Polish soldiers during World War I for the independence of Poland. It was erected in 1925, under a portico, the only vestige of the old Saxon Palace located at the eastern end of the Saxon Garden, the former English garden of the Saxon Palace. The buried soldier is an anonymous fighter defending the city of Lwow |
