Village of Pisticci, Italy. Pisticci is a town in the province of Matera, in the Southern Italian region of Basilicata, Italy. Pisticci is located in the central-southern part of the province of Matera and extends between the rivers Basento, to the east, and Cavone, to the west, which separate the Pisticci territory from the municipalities of Bernalda (18 km) and Montalbano Jonico (24 km) respectively. Also to the east it overlooks the Ionian Sea and still borders the municipalities of Craco (19 km), Ferrandina (23 km), Pomarico (24 km) and Scanzano Jonico (27 km). Pisticci is made up of several hamlets and villages, the most important of which are Casinello, Centro Agricolo, Marconia, Pisticci Scalo, Tinchi and Marina di Pisticci.
