3 grown piglets in a bio husbandry. These pigs aren't ment for selling, they are being raised only for the family own consumption. Most Transylvanian peasant families grow their own animals in the bio way only with fresh food they produce on their own crops - no aditives, no drugs, no hormones or steroids. The tradition here is called ignat and it means sacrificing the pigs in the Christamas eve. Althou it sounds like an atrocity, it isn't, because, by the new European rules, the animal must be stunned before being sacrificed so he doesn't feel anything at all - which is also an advantage because, firstly, the meat is more tender -the animal doesn't produce any adrenaline before he dies, and secondly because the animal does not oppose any kind of resistance. Adrenaline is a toxic substance which is normally produced when the animal is scared.
