This is an image of a pestle and a mortar. bamboo belongs to a grass family. unlike rattan and resin, bamboo is one of the greatest tropical forest products. it is much different from pestle and mortar which are made from heavy materials like rocks, marbles or granites. the mortar is made purely from bamboo but the pestle, a bat-like instrument is made from a selective wood. These two great materials are natures coming from plants. they are used for crushing and grinding medicinal leaves or materials used for healing ordinary sickness or diseases. nowadays some people like to keep them as a hobby or just for collection and home decorations because they have beautiful textures and more lighter.
