The glacier's name is in memory of Francisco Moreno who was director of the Museum of the Argentinian Science Society. It is one of the few glaciers in the world that does not melt, it remains in balance between accumulation and ablation.It has a front of 3 miles and an average high of 240 feet and a depth of 558 feet. |
