View from Patuxai Victory Monument looking over Patuxai Park. It forms the centrepiece of Patuxai Park, and is dedicated to the Laos who were killed in the fight to gain independence from France, as well as from the nationââ¬â¢s earlier occupiers, Siam and Japan. It is also called Patuxai Arch or the Arc de Triomphe of Vientiane.
