The Opera Garnier or Palais Garnier, is a structuring buildings in the 9th district of Paris, and the landscape of the French capital. Located at the end of the Avenue de l'Opéra, near the metro station of the same name, the building has become a typical monument of Paris and is a continuation of the transformation of Paris carried well by Napoleon III and Haussmann prefect. Construction lasts nearly fifteen years, from 1861 to 1875. The Palais Garnier is the subject of a classification as historical monuments since October 16, 1923
