Ospreys, also known as `fish hawks` frequent freshwater, brackish and saltwater areas. Like Bald Eagles, they mate for life and construct large nests. This male osprey was photographed after landing near his nest in a group of trees on Lake Aliceville, a part of the Tombigbee River near Pickensville, Alabama near the Alabama - Mississippi state line. |
