| Taken near Lake Pueblo Colorado, early Spring. One of my favorite raptors. Caught launching himself toward the Arkansas River for lunch. Liked how the browns and whites contrast against the blue of the Colorado sky. The osprey or more specifically the western osprey ââ¬â also called sea hawk, river hawk, and fish hawk ââ¬â is a diurnal, fish-eating bird of prey with a cosmopolitan range.
