| The orange (English: orange) is the fruit of the citrus species in the family Rutaceae, referred to as Citrus Ãâ sinensis,[1] which is also called the sweet orange, to distinguish it from the related Citrus Ãâ aurantium, which is called the bitter orange. The sweet orange reproduces asexually (apomixis via nucellar embryony), and sweet orange varieties arise by mutation. |
