today Kotli is a protected rural area with preserved courts, ballads, vaults and picturesque chimneys. The Mirna River flows through the village, falling in waterfalls onto the rocks and cauldrons sinking into the stone, which is how the village received its name. There is a still working stone mill in the canyon itself, and along the entire course of the Mirna and its tributaries there were an incredible sixty mills.
