Currently a multi-disciplinary arts venue, the former Old Parliament House was built in 1827 and is the oldest government building in Singapore. Possibly also the oldest surviving building in the city, it was home to the Parliament of Singapore from 1965 to 1999. Originally designed as a Neo-Palladian residence, it went through several major extension works and was opened on 26 March 2004 as an arts & heritage center.
