Koge is an old market town with a number of old townhouses.The annex building Kirkestræde 2-4, created the Mayor Ferslevs daughters a private school in 1880, the school was closed in 1910. In no. IO started Køge Citizen and HÃÂ¥ndværkerforening Køge's first technical school in 1847, the building's first floor. In 1856, the privately run Kjøge Børneasyl started on the ground floor, and it still exists and kicking. Kirkestræde is probably the most photographed and depicted street in Køge, and a myriad of stædets houses deserve mention, but enklelte simply can not be ignored, and here it is, inter alia, SmedsgÃÂ¥rden no. 13, which has been wrought farm for 150 years, the building had to be built around 1550.
