| This is a Winter picture of two Water Cribs On Lake Michigan located in Chicago, Illinois in Cook County. The structure on the left is the William E. Dever Crib, built on 1935 and is one of two Cribs still active. The structure on the right is the Carter H. Harrison Crib, it was built in 1900, it operated until its tunnel collapsed in 1998. This is one of four surviving cribs that are no longer active. The picture also features This picture was taken on January 14, 2018. |
