| This is a summer evening picture of the North Avenue Water Crib in Lake Michigan located in Chicago, Illinois in Cook County. The cribs located 2.6 miles east of North Avenue Beach. On the left is the William E. Dever Crib was built in 1935, on the right is the Carter H. Harrison Crib built in 1900, but closed in 1998 after the tunnel collapsed. This picture was taken on June 6, 2020. |
