| Owned by the church, the Cities of the Dead in New Orleans are a beautiful and significant piece of history. Body's stack in the tombs to make way for new family members of the owners of the tombs. This shot shows that the tombs are in various states of disrepair because it's the family's task to tend to them. Some families have died out long ago leaving a crumbling tomb of bricks as their grave. |
