| The Cathedral of Christ the Saviour is a Russian Orthodox cathedral in Moscow, on the northern bank of the Moskva River, a few hundred meters southwest of the Kremlin. The Cathedral can accommodate up to 10,000 people. With an overall height of 103 metres it is the tallest Orthodox Christian church in the world. Modern Cathedral is the reconstruction of the temple of the same name, created in the XIX century in honor of the victory over Napoleon`s army in the war of 1812, the Cathedral is a monument to fallen soldiers. |
