| Pictured is the Nathan Frank Memorial Bandstand in Forest Park in Saint Louis, Missouri. Originally build of wood around 1876, it was renovated in 1904 for the World`s Fair, and then eventually destroyed by a storm and fire around 1911. In 1924, Saint Louis lawyer Nathan Frank donated $50,000 to erect a new bandstand of classic Renaissance design which was dedicated in 1925. It has been renovated twice since, the last in 1993. It is made of white marble with bronze railings and ornaments. |
