Tens of millions of soldiers and civilians died during China`s war of liberation. Especially in the Anti-Japanese War, Nanjing, as the capital of China at the time, was slaughtered by the Japanese army, killing more than 300,000 people. In honor of the victims, the government built a memorial in Nanjing Yuhuatai. This is a memorial service held in front of the Martyrs` Monument.
