The bell tower of Motovun, a landmark dominating over the entire landscape of the middle Mirna valley, is 27 meters high and was built in the 13th century as the townââ¬â¢s main tower and observation post. Motovun is located in the center of Istria, Croatia, Europe. Since 1999, Motovun has hosted the international Motovun Film Festival for independent and avant-garde films from the U.S. and Europe. Motovun is known as truffle town.
