The Shard in London was designed by Italian architect Renzo Piano and was first conceived in a restaurant in Berlin. At 306 metres high it is the largest skyscraper in London at Present. It has 73 floors above ground and 3 below, 44 elevators serve 202 hotel rooms, 10 apartments and office space. The Shard development is part of the London Bridge quarter of redevelopment and regeneration of London's South Bank. Building started in 2009 and was completed in 2013. |
