| This was the GM effort to compete with the extremely popular Volkswagen Beetle. The Corvair is powered by a six cylinder horizontally opposed engine and has a four speed manual transmision. It does have more interior room, but the engine is notorious for leaking oil. Unfortunately, the Corvair was featured in a book entitled Unsafe At Any Speed which brought about the car's demise. |
