| This is huge monolith,about 6.7 metreshigh,stands within a walled enclosure.Though of a great size,it is very carefully carved & well finished icon at Hampi.There is a large seven hooded nagaabove the head.Originally there was a figure of lakshmi seated on the left thigh.This image was one of the last additions of Krishnadeva Raya to Vijaynagara. |
