Al Di Meola, actually Albert Laurence Di Meola is an American fusion and jazz guitarist with Italian roots. Al Di Meola studied after attending high school at the Berklee College of Music[4] in Boston. At the age of 19, he was discovered by the pianist Chick Corea and included in his musical group Return to Forever, which also included Stanley Clarke and Lenny White. In 1977, he was recognised as & x22;Best Jazz Guitarist& x22;. & x22;Guitar Player& x22; also made him the & x22;best acoustic guitarist& x22; three times and included him in his & x22;Gallery of Greats& x22; in 1981.
