Mantua`s Palazzo Ducale, also known as the Gonzaga palace, is one of the city`s main historic buildings. From 1308 it was the official residence of the lords of Mantua, the Bonacolsi, and therefore the main residence of the Gonzagas, lords, marquises and finally dukes of the Virgilian city.
