This is an early Spring picture of a male Grevy’s Zebra in its compound at the Lincoln Park Zoo located in Chicago, Illinois in Cook County. The Grevy’s Zebra is the largest living wild equid and the largest and most threatened of the three species of Zebras. Their stripes do not extend to the belly area, they have a mule shaped head, their mane is tall, stands erect, and extends the length of the body. This picture was taken on March 22, 2018.
